Imagine stepping out of your comfort zone, facing a packed ballroom, and dancing in front of hundreds – all for a cause that touches thousands of lives each year. That’s exactly what our CEO Nathan Walton is doing.
Nathan has bravely signed up to take part in the Strictly Knot Dancing 2025 competition, a glamorous black-tie event on Friday 3rd October at The King’s Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, where 11 local business leaders will dance with professional partners to raise vital funds for Dougie Mac Hospice and compete to win the Glitter Ball.
Nathan is training hard (and trying to dance through the nerves!) to perform at The King’s Hall on Friday 3rd October. His goal is to raise £4,000 to help Dougie Mac continue offering free, specialist care to those facing life-limiting illnesses.
In his own words:
“Within the first few moments of my first ever dance lesson I wondered why I said yes to this challenge. The thought of trying to master a 2-minute dance routine in just 7 weeks fills me with fear. I’ve just got to learn quick, practice like mad and pray everything with be ok on the night. I keep thinking of Dougie Mac Hospice to keep my focus and any donation you could make would be so gratefully received.”
Dougie Mac supports over 3,500 people across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire each year. From palliative care to emotional support and bereavement counselling, their work brings comfort, peace, and dignity when it’s needed most – and it’s entirely funded by people like you.
